Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us. On the subscribe page that is your full name, an optional email address, and, if you check a text message consent box, your mobile number. On the contact page that is your name, email address, subject, and message.

When you submit a form we also record technical details tied to the submission: the date and time, the page you submitted from, the version of the consent disclosure shown to you, your browser user agent, and the IP address of the request. This record exists so we can demonstrate when and how consent was given.

How we use information

• To send the text message categories you specifically selected
• To respond to written questions you send us
• To keep an accurate record of consent and opt-out requests
• To maintain and improve the guides and resources on this site

We do not use your information to generate quotes, applications, eligibility decisions, referrals, or sales contacts, because we do not offer those services.

SMS communications

The Crash Course Coverage SMS Program has two separate, optional message categories. The available categories are:

• Account Notifications: Message frequency varies based on account activity
• Marketing: Generally up to 4 messages per month

Each category requires its own consent, and every consent box is unchecked by default. Providing a phone number alone is not consent. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, access, or use of this website. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Mobile opt-in information

Mobile opt-in data, SMS consent, and phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will not be sold, shared, rented, released, or transferred to third parties for marketing, lead generation, or promotional purposes.

Mobile numbers and consent records are used only to operate the message categories you selected and to honor opt-out requests. They are shared only with the messaging service provider that delivers the messages on our behalf, and that provider may not use them for any other purpose.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses only the cookies and local storage required for the website to function. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build advertising profiles from your visit. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before it goes into effect.

Data retention

Consent records are kept for as long as the consent is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can show that consent and any opt-out were handled correctly. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of the exchange.

Opt-out rights

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from the applicable program. You can also email learn@crashcoursecoverage.com to ask us to stop messaging you, to ask what information we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access controlled database. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim that it is.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our material may link to outside pages for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
